Aluminum Care Guide
Share
1. Regular cleaning
Regular cleaning is important to keep aluminum in good condition.
- Use only a soft microfiber cloth or 100% cotton rag.
- First wipe off dust and dirt with a damp cloth , without rubbing dry to avoid scratches.
- If the surface is very dirty, you can use a mild soap solution , such as dishwashing detergent that does not contain chlorine or ammonia.
2. Polishing
Polishing restores the shine of aluminum and removes minor imperfections.
- Use fine-grained polishing pastes designed specifically for aluminum or stainless steel. For example, Zephyr Pro40 or Zephyr Pro25 .
- When polishing, use light, circular motions with minimal pressure.
- After polishing, remove any remaining paste with a clean, dry cloth . Use a microfiber cloth.
3. Protective coating
The protective coating helps prevent oxidation and keeps the surface clean for longer.
- After cleaning and polishing, it is recommended to apply ceramic or a special aluminum protector.
- Although our polishing pastes already have protective properties, such as a hydrophobic effect, you can apply ceramics for additional protection. We offer a spray-on ceramic, Zephyr Pro30 .
- If the surface is exposed to moisture or salt water, it is recommended to renew the coating every 1-2 months .
4. Storage and protection
Proper storage is important to prevent damage.
- It is recommended to store aluminum in a dry room , away from direct precipitation and moisture.
- Use soft cloth covers for storage, not plastic wrap, as plastic can trap moisture.
- To avoid rust stains, avoid direct contact with iron parts .
5. Long-term care
Regular maintenance will ensure longevity and great appearance.
- Every few months, perform a preventative, light polishing with Zephyr Pro25 .
- Regularly check for oxidation spots and remove them in time to prevent them from spreading.
- Zephyr Pro40 is used to repair larger damage.
