Instructions for using metal polishing paste

How to properly use Zephyr Pro40 and Pro25 polishing pastes

This tutorial is designed to help you effectively polish metal surfaces using Zephyr Pro40 and Pro25 pastes. Careful preparation and proper technique will ensure excellent results and a long-lasting shine.

1. Surface preparation

It is essential to thoroughly clean the surface before polishing.

  • Clean the surface to be polished of all dirt.
  • It is best to use a mild soap solution , such as a chlorine- and ammonia-free dishwashing detergent. This will effectively remove grease and dirt without damaging the surface.

2. Starting the polishing process

Once the surface is clean, you can start polishing.

  • Shake the polishing paste well before use to ensure that the two components are completely mixed.
  • Take a clean microfiber cloth and apply a small amount of polishing paste to it.
  • Apply the paste to the surface you plan to polish. During the polishing process, work with light, circular movements , without applying too much pressure.
  • The microfiber cloth should remain black during polishing. This indicates that the paste is working — it is removing dirt as well as the oxide layer that is characteristic of aluminum.
  • After polishing, take a clean microfiber cloth and wipe off any remaining polishing paste.

3. Additional tips and benefits

These pastes not only polish the surface perfectly, but also provide additional benefits:

  • After polishing, the paste forms a protective layer on the surface, which protects the metal from further oxidation.
  • The pastes also provide a hydrophobic effect , which repels water and reduces the formation of water stains.

Note: If you are unable to remove larger surface defects with your hands and a microfiber cloth, you can use a conical sponge designed to be mounted on a drill. Mechanical treatment will provide more efficient treatment of the damaged surface and better results.
